Need help

I have a 93 ty and found that the eprom in my ty is not locking in the tcc. can lock in with the tec-1, but will not lock in from ecm (eprom). Tryed new ecm no help. I think it's the eprom. And looks like from my dealer no stock on the eprom. Any info would help. thanks

did you check the adjustment of the brake switch? That can come out of adjustment and not allow the TC to lock up...

You can manually lock the TCC with a paper on the A-F on ALDL. If you go for a drive with slow acceleration , you should notice as soon as 2nd gear hits (the rpm will drop down and the engine will lug). Most often the TCC circuitry (or brake switch is the problem) not the PROM is the problem.

yes adjusted switch. and at the aldl you can lock it in. if test with test light at aldl and find power for tcc and when it get to OD it will not turn test light off (ground wire) to lock in tcc. but if you step on brake test light go's out (off) so I know that the brake switch work's and adjusted fine. thanks for info

What eprom is in there now, have not heard of any aftermarket that turns the TCC off so I doubt that will fix your issue.
