I have the dm-5 but havent had a chance to use it yet, the biggest reason I bought it is b/c it auto calibrates itself.

Re: Need help on which wideband

I had an innovate lc1, not that happy with it, died at nats and I am not the only one to have one die. Not sure on their other models.

Paul has a PLX and has had great luck with it.

Re: Need help on which wideband

I have the innovate with the xd-16 gauge and it has worked great so far. It is nice to be able to change the face and bezel color to match your other gauges and with different inputs the gauge can also read temperature and pressure.

Re: Need help on which wideband

I've had an lm1 for a few years now.. have used it in three different vehicles without any problems and I went with the lm1 because Im not crazy about having alot of gauges in the cab so with this I can plug it in and use it when I need to then bam unplug it, tuck the wires away and bam

I have the PLX-300 in my talon and it is a good unit. Sometimes I have to power it on and off due to it not reading. But that may be because I dont always let it warm up...

The innovate wb02 are POS's and have a lot of quality control issues or incorrect installations. Either way, a product should not be THAT picky about power/ground and it should not use headphone jack connectors. (WTF)

Have heard great things about PLX, will be using a PLX-300 myself.

I did that before my own LC1 died at nats.

Anybody need a dead LC1?

Re: Need help on which wideband

Ive got a zeitronix that works pretty good. No problems with the unit itself and Ive used it plenty. The only snag I have is that I cant keep it sync'd with tunerpro to run $59 closed loop wide band. Every time I adjust the tables and make it perfect, it will be off again guarunteed. Its usually off by about 1/2 AFR. Its frustrating, but I havent looked into why its happening. The V out of the Z seemed stable the one time I checked it.

Other than that its a great unit with no problems or glitches. I got mine on a thirdgen.org group purchase for ~$240 shipped.

Re: Need help on which wideband

I have used 2 NGK's now, both work great and work with code $59. My only complaint is it only reads to 16:1 AFR, so if your tune is way off, it can take awhile to get it fixed.

I have a TechEdge 2B0. It has worked pretyt well for me. The 2 problems with it are.. They are in Australia so if you need help they are a long ways away for a Phone call. Also when the DIYWBo2 first came out, TechEdge took the design and sold a DIY kit for it. Then they ran off with the dsign and made their own. Thus they stole the design. SO that is a strike against it.

But I am really interested in one of the new PLX devices. Especially the iMFD line.

I think it would be killer to have one of those with guage.

Particularly, if you set it up to display knock as well....

Their SM-AFR module would be a good, low-cost WB02 to plug into the ECM. $195
I'm not crazy about their form-factor, though.

I'm getting a bit tired of the sporadic reliability of the LC-1. Some of them work great, some of them not so much.
