I just got my first syclone and need a little help on what to do first.
what are the first mods you should do to it just make it run better?
Who has a nice SS exhaust for them?
who makes the best plug wire set that fits RIGHT?
did they come new with the red syclone decal on the windshield?
thanks for the help

First mod you should do is EDUCATION, followed by tune up, scan tool, maybe a fuel pump, last Education. Rear, Read and read some more you will pick up things. Don't plan to set speed records or do any major mods for a year is what I tell people.

Race proven is only exhaust made that I know of in SS

Not sure on wires now, been a few years since I had a stock truck, although sometimes I wish mine was still stock.

Red Syclone decal came with most sy's at dealer, some were installed, some left behind seat.

Re: Need Help on my syclone

Taylor and MSD make sy/ty specific wires for our trucks. RPM sells those as well as summit, jegs, and a few other vendors on here.

As far as Mods go, keep it simple until you read and learn a lot! Do a basic tune up, put a 255 walbro fuel pump (a real one not a fake), adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and pehaps a KN filter. Keep it simple and reliable.

Re: Need Help on my syclone

ya I'm not going to take anything from the stockness of the truck. I have been around for along time in the turbo v6 world.
I was just looking for the basic mods you want to do to the trucks to help them alittle. I'm not going into the motor or nothing like that I'm just looking for easy bolt on mods that can be removed if need be.
the truck is stock but a K&N filter with 48k
so I don't want to hurt it. But it is time for an exhaust, fuel pump, tune up with go stuff, what about chips? Need to do anything to the turbo or intercooler system?
thanks

This site will help tremendously to familiarize yourself with the truck and do modifications within the realm of being smart about it without to much loss in reliability.

I have been around for along time in the turbo v6 world.

The Buick Turbo 6 are a different beast (better ignition, MAF, open loop boost, more forgiving bottom end) than these turbo V6's.

IMO do a tune up with good parts, get your self a scan tool and get it running right with the stock chip.

Datamaster - log it then see what it's doing.

Knock will kill so an alkycontrol kit isn't a bad investment if you're inclined.
