iam goin to look at a 93 ty tomm around 3 iam trading my 99 blazer for it
ny53953 vin to the ty its a ny stolen recovered ty heres the pics

a guy from my area went and looked at it this is what he said
"i looked that typhoon and it needs some work needs the 3 inch down pipe wrapped or re ran because the pipe over heats the starter and fries it"

what you guys think

what's he asking for it? It needs paint, attention to detail, etc. Any interior pics?rust?

The kid who owns it just recently got it on a trade. He doesnt know much about the truck either. I debating buying this truck, but couldnt get over the stolen history and NY reVIN. Im glad I stayed away, cause it seems theres alot more misc problems that need to be addressed before this truck could be even be at the level of half way reliable.

No AC, wires everywhere, needs paint, has rust starting, start issues........and thats just the known stuff. Probably a ton more wrong by someone who knows SyTys if they looked at it.

He was asking 5k last I saw.

Hope your 99 blazer isnt your daily ride....cause thats probably why he is trading you...cause he cant get the Ty to run right to be able to drive it.

I take it all back. Trade him....after seeing your blazer, yeah....uh..... the Ty, running right or not, would be a better truck than um...that thing. Just dont do whatever the hell your doing to the Blazer, to the Ty.

blazer never got done the way it was supossed to bein i now have a 3 months old son but anyway really tell me what you think anout it i know really nothing about the motor in them my truck runs great and iam not just going to jump out n trade even tho its a ty

I think that if you dont know anything about SyTy, you need to do your research and alot of reading on here before getting one. :2cents:

well wat do you think i would really hate to get rid of my truck knowing it has new rear new trans and i know if something is about to go wrong with it gy just so confused on what do to ill just go steal the motor for my blazer fvck it

Dump both....get yourself a reliable daily driver...then start saving for a low-mileage, UNMOLESTED Typhoon.

This one's been chopped to death...your asking for a major headache...and big expenses.

It appears that you dont mind projects.....I would say go for the Typhoon. Saying that, I also agree with Adam that you need to do your research and understand them before you actually have one. They are at times very unreliable especially if they have been "molested" in any way. Just do your reasearch. Do you have a daily driver or would the Ty be it?

I wouldn't trade for the Ty if I was planning on driving it.

I mean,it might need a motor,trans,brakes,frontend rebuilt,tires,ect. Or it may be just fine.

Judging by the motor pics,it's a mess.

i see in the pic of the motor that the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line is not hooked up. if there is rust in the engine bay then there is rust on the undercarriage. from afar, the ty looks fairly decent. i've seen worse. this truck will keep you busy.

when the ty finally runs right you will love it. :2cents:

If you have another daily driver and the vin/title on the Ty are legit I would trade in a heart beat!

Steve is right! Take someone who knows SyTy's with you! There are some guys on here in Maryland.
