I am upgrading to the 3/4" goodyear heater hose and I have a question. I would like to keep the lines as far away as possible from the motor, however I do not want to go through the passenger side fender (I would like to be able to remove my CAC if needed to work on the truck without draining it). I was thinking of the driver fender. I would like to keep the engine bay as clean as possible and try to hide them as best I can. Plus, I figure that longer lines = more coolant. My only problem is that they will come in contact with the oil filter and lines. Will the filter and lines get too hot against the rubber hose? Would it be possible to make a "huggie" for my filter (like to keep a beer cold) and insulate it?
I appreciate any input...thank you!
