The stock one is stuck on 3/4 tank before we pulled the tank. It looks manually repairable since its just a potentiometer. Any Ideas?? I need help fast to get this brick moving!! Anyone have the part #??

You could use the one out of any S10 or S15 salvage truck. Just switch the pump.

search.... i saw on here where someone was selling new ones for about 60-65.00 ..... definately the way i would go... you never know what you are going to get from the salvage yard. hell it might not work either. plus you got to get nasty pulling the thing.

I'll have to call bs on the sending unit, if you are just reffering to the fuel level sender there is no way it is $400. Want it moving then put it back togather, so the guage will be stuck at least it will get ya moving and replace it later. I can get you a price for one tommarow at cost, i work at a gm dealer and get parts at cost. Being a standard s series part it shouldnt be much. And dealers mark up the prices based on supply and demand. AC delco is good stuff, i wouldnt replace it with a rebuilt one. I can post here tomarow before noon what i can get to you for.

Thats a pretty accurate number I think. A couple years ago I was quoted over 300 for the sending unit from the dealership.

That's cheap considering if you have them do your fuel pump, it would cost $1300...

I believe it comes as a whole unit. Pump hanger and all. Somone on here posted a link to a place selling them for $50-$60.

Here you go:

I've got the exact one in my truck; also bought the tank at the same time; great quality piece....buy with confidence. I think tank and sending unit was $175 total or something...

But the real question is: does anybody sell a brand new 13 gallon tank, or have they all switched to the 20 gallon tanks?
