Well I just picked up a Ty and when the guy brought it too me it didn't have a flywheel cover. The truck just had a new trans put in it last month so he called the installer and he couldnt find it. I told him no big deal, I know I could find one for cheap. I've been looking on ebay and calling local junkyards and all I could find was covers for 2wd or 4wd. Im not sure which one a Ty would use, being AWD would it be the same as 4wd? I put a buddy of mine's 92 S-10(4.3 auto 2wd) on the lift and It looks the same to me, but I didn't want to take his off to try it. Thanks guys!!

Well Thats what I was thinking... Two guys at the junk yard said 350turbos,700r4's and 4L60E in 2WD are all the same cover, but a 4WD version was different. I think our trucks use the same as 2wd. That truck I looked at was 2wd, but had a 4L60E and look the same.

Put a wanted add up in the forsale section if you can't locate one because most remove them due to them just helping to hold in all that heat.

You don't have to have that cover on there. Unless your one of those picky owners that don't feel like the truck is right if it's missing something. There are a few of us like that:tup:

Yeah I may do that. I might just get one to just to have. I didnt realize they held that much heat. I might just leave it off seeing that i dont drive it much and when I do it sure wont be in the rain. Has anyone ever had a rock or something get cough in a flywheel tooth and hit the starter's nosecone? Ive heard of it happening just never seen it.
