Neat tool

Stab it and steer it
Just in case no one has found this before. Hood has prolly sold a gazillion but I just found it in the Taylor wire catalog that came with the wires he sold me.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page for a neat spark plug boot removal tool that works in our tiny spaces without ripping the wire apart trying to do it by hand.

Hood should sell these when he sells a wire kit!!

Re: Neat tool

Taylors are Butter

Cheapest, longest lasting, and best quality plug wires Ive used on my truck.

I've thought about getting one of those tools but I've become so good at the ignition stuff ( ) I've never needed it. :)

I got my taylor wires last night and there was a paper in the box that had that picture with part number.I thought about ordering that tool last night it looks like it will come in handy. How much are they? There wasnt a price it was just a part number.

This tool is also available from Lisle (PN 51250). We sell it for $5.99. Very good thing to have for our trucks.

Re: Neat tool

The only thing I hate about our plug wires, is no matter how hard I try to keep the little metal plug to wire connector in the end of the boot, it always comes out..(or stays on the plug when I pull the wire off.. )

Try using some spark plug grease next time. It tends to help with the cursing fits we have after a screw up!

Re: Neat tool

I always use some of that dialectric grease on the boots. Screwing up one wire and having to buy another complete set really sucks.
