Leave it to Joe to come up with a statement like that. About these aforementioned mice, my question is, are you saying it's "hot" like Paris Hilton says "that's hot" or is it like triple digit outdoor temps and you cut thru the air with a knife?

Back on topic, I would fly to any of them as I wouldn't want to pile on the miles and a bunch of other bs excuses. To those of us on the east coast who think it might be too far to drive and wouldn't go because of the drive, consider flying. I have flown to a Nats and to a Homecoming and had an absolute blast. With our community, having a truck in attendance is not a prerequisite to having a good time. With enough lead time, you can purchase a flight to anywhere at a reasonable price.

Two mice screwing in a wool sock is a few degrees hotter than a three balled tom cat. Using the Paris Hilton "that's hot" would be just like saying "hotter than a fag eating a corn dog"...either way who ever says it sounds gay. :lol:

I am super shocked people are actually voting for Denver. When I brought it up as a location a couple years ago (for all the reasons people are saying they like now) I was pretty much tossed to the side and was told of why my idea sucked. Or maybe it's all in my head.

I vote Vegas, lots of fun to be had there. I like any of the low altitude places for that matter......plus I can actually stand a chance of going of its somewhere the wife and family wants to go. Doesn't hurt there is plenty to do there either....:2cents:

I voted Vegas because I go through there quite a bit, plus I have a Sy in San Jose I could get brought down if the timing is right.

I voted for Vegas and Reno. I will show up to any location on that list with my truck, but not anywhere in the country with my truck. Good things about Vegas is cheap flights, can get cheap hotel fare if you know where to look, its pretty damn central to west siders, other things to do when we are not having the meets( middle of the night), good altitude for racing.

The bad: weather can be an issue, it can be expensive if you are not looking for deals, almost everywhere off the strip is pretty ghetto.


I dont know about Reno, but i think that could be a good place to go and gets my #1 vote.

One of my biggest concerns about Vegas....is how much of a family town is it? Never been...but have definitely heard about it. So I have to say it's a concern.

I voted for 1) Denver 2)Vegas 3)San Antonio 4) Reno and 5) Houston
I will be starting a new job in June so I am not sure what my availability will be but I never missed a Nats for any reason beyond my control since 2003. So if I can make it (which I hope I can) I will be there regardless of location.

But the senery would be awsome , and plenty of other stuff to do ,, i.e. poker runs thru the mountains , mountain town gambling 15 miles from the dragstrip . plus plenty of support from fellow syty'ers !.

So I'm not understanding why everyone says the trucks will run worse at high altitude. I'm under the impression that force inducted cars aren't effected by this. Old buddy of mine that pioneered the turbo mustang stuff years ago (Gene Deputy) says he runs the same thing in Colorado that he does in Houston. Says turbo cars fill the cylinders the same. Ok.....back to our regularly programmed station. Come on Denver.....she's still hanging in there....lol

It would still affect us not as much as a N/A car

I am hopen for denver also I would take the truck to denver and it is only right my first nats be with the truck.

but I would fly to vegas I do think people would be more focused on vegas than the meet though

vegas and changed alot in the last 15 years their is alot of things for familys to do, 3 big malls, all kinds of cool showes to watch at the casinos, a massive arcade place, fun parks all over, and other things. They do have racing at night on the strip for $15 i think 2 sats a month but alot of people show up. Im not sure what the price would be to rent out the track also they have a road coarse a hr away in pahrump http://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/ im sure we could find a casino that would give us a good parking area and watch our trucks. But i still think reno would be better.
