Mystery wire - need some help

OK guys there is a wire running along the firewall that apparently goes nowhere. It has a male end on it that looks like it should go to a harness but it is just hanging. It starts from a distribution block on the pass side firewall and ends at the drivers corner with all the wiring harnesses. I just found out it was disconnected today so I removed it from the distribution block until I know where it is supposed to go to.

I don't think anyone has pointed it out, but it looks like it's probably the wire for the hood light...

One end of the wire that powers the hood light. There *should* be a rubber cap around the end in the last pic that holds a fuse in there. Looks like yours is missing...

Yeah, Mike is correct. There's a little rubber boot on the end, where the fuse sits in there. I have a complete OEM hood light w/ all the wiring and the boots on it if you need one....
