Very close to the rendering that I was working on with Dave before his untimely death for his syclone:

Too bad that he never got to see the fruits of our collaboration together. I always think about him when I see my truck, even if I don't open the hood...

I still have mine too from the very beginning as pen and ink sketches:

This early version had swoops on the "M" that was later dropped. The "M" was separate so that the position could be manipulated by Dave after he printed it out. The idea was that he could tape the "M" where he wanted it and then rescan it to me.

Final rendering before scanning and vectorizing for CAD and eventually CAM:

The very last PM that I got from Dave on 1/2/07:

"I dunno man I think that looks 99.9% ok...maybe squeezing the M and Y a **** hair closer togeather is all Id mess with there.

Lemme know if you come up with something and if I have time I'll mess with it some myself this week (busy week ahead).

I'm just glad that I got to speak to him one last time before he was gone less than 24 hours later...

It isn't the same without him. Today is our Wedding Anniversy. It would have been 4 years. I have to push back and tears so hard at times.
Funny my Dr. decided finally last week that I have post tramatic stress.....yeah no joke. You try coming home and finding your one true love that way, and having your world come to an end.

as eerie as it may or may not be, last night I decided to add some of my vehicles to my "garage", and stumbled upon a picture I didnt even know I had.

I might be able to get these done inexpensively. Not sure what that means exactly. :myclone:If someone can shoot me an idea of what a good price would be I'll check and then maybe I could put together a GP. (size?)

Nope, there would be no personal gain what so ever on this. I wuz just trying to help get some of these done if there was no other source. Since I only vaguely know who does what here except for some of the major vendors, if I stepped on some toes I apologize. If it was the web version of "open mouth insert foot" then we can both laugh and go on.

I was kicking around the idea of making throttle body plates like my own with 95% of the proceeds going to Lisa for $100 shipped (I would need about $5 to cover the shipping). The time it takes to engrave the plate is two and a half hours of machine time alone... Add in set up time and stock prep, it's three plus hours easy to produce. At the standard shop rate of $100 an hour, it *should* be a $300+ TB plate.
