This is not so funny story that happened to me this morning. It all started last night when I removed the fitting that connects the brake booster to the intake manifold (i'm putting in a new boost gauge fitting I got from Ryan). Turns out I need another part, so I lower the hood and called it a night. Today I drive my Tahoe to work and got about 20 miles down the road when my wife calls. I parked the ty behind her and she can't move her car. I say "the spare keys are on the desk, go ahead and move it out of the way, I'm sorry for boxing you in" :-? Yes, by this point I've totally forgotten the fact the ty has no fitting connecting the brake booster to the manifold. So I get another call. This time she crying! Turns out when she started it, the engine ran "faster" than normal and when she put it in drive it took off like a rocket and she then relized it had no brakes!!
She put it in park to stop it :x and turned it off (it is now in the middle of the road) She made an attempt to push it back into our driveway with no luck. I turned my Tahoe around and headed back home to take care of my growing problem  I got home and saw what a cluster F*** it was and understood she was so upset. I pushed the truck back into the garage and went to work. I got home and put it all back together, the truck runs and drives fine. I was worried she may have damage the tranny, but doesn't seem to be any problems. To top if off I still couldn't find the other part I needed get my boost gauge working right. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
