My truck with fresh paint at matte finish cladding

I have'nt really cleaned the truck up yet because I've been putting everything back together but I wanted to post some pictures of the new paint. I spent the last month taking the entire truck apart to prep this thing.... doors, bed, glass, cladding.... everything was removed and painted seperate. I did all of the body work and blocking and my friend shot the paint at his shop. Needless to say it was alot of work but it was worth it. I decided on a matte ( satin ) finish for the cladding and I am thrilled with the results. I suck at taking pictures so.....

Your Syclone looks great :tup: I am going to do a matte cladding when/if I paint my Syclone.

body looks like glass. very nice contrast with the satin cladding. good job.

Good job. Body work and body prep are such a pain and so much work but needed if you want results like yours. Beautiful truck. The contrast is just right. Now you really need some wheels since the originals don't do the paint job justice.

Here is a picture from last year when I was pulling my motor out to rebuild it. It's hard to tell how bad the paint looks but check out the cladding. The body was in great shape other than 20 years of little dings here and there. Luckily there was no rust to deal with.

The satin finish looks fantastic! That is how they should have came from the factory. I think that is one of the best looking syclones that I have seen, especially with the great looking stock wheels! Great choice in paint:tup:

Syclone kind of were painted that way from the factory, it's just they used such a thin cheap paint on the cladding that it didn't hold up and many used additives to keep the cladding looking good.
