Did they put the HD sun gear shell back in it? Even the Beast sun shell is better than the stocker.
What about the new sprag and reaction carrier shaft? Those get pulled as well?
So the original pump I sent you is gonedy?
It already had the bushings and everything installed in it. Shouldn't have had any unususal wear from it rubbing on the input shaft. That was why I liked the pump so much. Was the pump and TD input drum IN the case when it was dropped? This would make sense then.
Typhoon valvebodies are still available from the dealer. Just need the matching GS separator plate.
The supplyer must know what a syty is to be helping out correctly.
If they set the clearances on the servo correctly, the band won't be a big issue. Don't worry about it.
As far as opening the gasket for the separator plate, of course. Why drill the hole and then leave the gasket overlapping it? Your right, Ed. At least they are reading the directions now.
Sounds like your soft shifts are from the TV valve hanging up repeatedly.
The replacement valvebody will more than take care of that problem.
It really sounds like the owner took it in the ass on this. They couldn't possibly charge you for a case, valvebody, separator plate, and ANOTHER band.
the sun shell they used.
the shaft thru the drum showed some uneven wear. they claim they replaced this assembly with the same thing (i guess this isnt a sole supplier part?) same thing being the upgraded versions. I have the td assy sitting here with me.
sprag they used
reaction carrier shaft they used
the new pump was sitting on the table, i told them i want that back.
so was my original valve body. I want that back also
I dont know if it was in the case or not but yes this would make sense why they would replace the pump and the td shaft and drum assy. If it were in the case and the case got bent it wouldnt take to much runout on the centerline to pork these things.
So time will tell.
So george whatdaya think. give it 5 heat cylces or or go beat the piss out of tomorrow night.
Actually i think i will just go for a very long drive on my home tomorrow night. Hopefully it will be an enjoyable experience.... like getting to gether with a friend you havent seen in a long while.
