My Syclone has a rebuilt title, so I'm going 2wd.

I will be selling my built trans, transfer case, front diff, and chassis.
I bought a 98 s10 2wd chassis, and the plan is to swap the cab and bed onto it.
I'm going 4l80e, back half from Auto weld, and TRZ motorsports Pro upper and lower a-arms.
let me know if you are interested in any parts.

I don't follow your reasoning, but have fun with that.

The person that owned it before me hit a curb, hence the rebuilt title, it was fixed, but I plan on putting down a decent amount of power, I feel safer in a 2wd straight chassis, than a awd repaired chassis, I also get to put on my Weld Racing 15x14 wheels!

A first gen body can go on a 98 2nd gen chassis ?

Sounds like a fun project. Why would you pick a 4L80E over a TH400 for this type of build?

I was looking at a TH400, I want to use the Reid case, but I have not finished all of my research on it, so it could still happen!

If it's fixed right, a repair frame is as strong as an original.

Hitting curbs very rarely bend frames...sure he didn't hit a jersey barrier? Or are you just assuming that since it's a salvage title the frame was bent?

I was told he hit the throttle making a right turn, and lost control, and hit the curb, it was not damaged bad, but I raced drag bikes for over 30 years, last thing I want to do is chase chassis gremlins, when I'm finished with the build I will have over 1000 hp, so I don't want to get injured at high speed.

It already has a rebuilt title, if it's so precious buy it then it won't be ruined.
If you don't understand you need a strong straight chassis for stright runs down the 1/4 mile, go buy some slip on shoes

You aren't going to get a ton of love here with that project but it sounds cool to me.

I struggled a lot with the decision, but kept the awd with my 94mm ls swap Syclone. The 2wd option makes it a lot easier and it will undoubtedly be faster than awd at the track, but I couldn't resist trying the awd. I'm hoping it will be fun on the street when it's done.

Pm me with a price on your front diff if it hasn't sold. I'm probably going to need a backup haha.
