Took my truck out tonight to log a couple of runs while it is still stock.
here's the log
http://www.mediafire.com/?2admvxz0yhy

Not sure if the intercooler is working because my intake temps are high and I'm guessing that is what's leading to the knock retard bewteen 5-8

the road I went to was long, slightly uphill and out in the middle of no where.

WOW that sucks man. No break I guess? I am surprised he didn't add reckless in there. A friend got a ticket for like 17 over the limit in a 65 zone and she got hit with a reckless on top of the speeding weird.

Wow that does suck but its even worse when you can get to 100 in the 1/8 mile! Luckily we don't have trees here and plenty of look outs for cops. 3 of my friends had that happen to them once i was video shooting their race and for some odd reason i stayed back in the typhoon and sure enough you see him pulling out from a dark buildings lot and of course pulled over the loudest car which was a SS454 with 640 Cu Motor.

In Jersey they call this Impound and seize if you double the speed limit so you got lucky if you drove home but not in court when he hits you with the fines.

Re: My first Datamaster run..with results!!!

I am happy I didn't get arrested and even more so that my truck didn't get impounded, that's a possiblity here for more than 25 mph over the limit.

The cop liked my truck and spent a good 30 minutes talking with me about it and looking at it, that may have helped.....
I thanked him for not going too crazy with the tickets and not taking me to jail :rotf:

That sucks!! I hate it when they hide like. I think they take the job way to serious when it comes to hiding. My good friends a cop and he said the guys that do that are all tools. The patrolman that gave you the ticket is just miserable because he doesnt make good money and has 5 kids. His hot wip is a 98 dodge caravan with juice stains and cheerios all over the carpet. Hater!!!

I don't buy that mentality, the rules are the rules. As much as I hate getting tickets like the next guy, you know the rules and if you break them you have to accept the fact that the guy/girl busting you is doing his job. You shouldn't hate on them, because you got caught breaking them. ;)

Sounds like a fun night.

I live in the newest "Most dangerous city in the country" So I just don't buy that they have time to be sitting on the shoulder of the road collecting "driving taxes" from the very citizens they are supposed to protect and serve.

The truth of the matter is that REAL criminals don't pay fines so the money to incarcerate their asses has to come from somewhere.

I agree it is a law so don't be surprised when you get pulled over for it.

Wow....and I thought something was wrong with my truck. I awd dynoed 210/415 at really low rmp's like that. So is this kind of typical for factory trucks?

1st rule of high-speed test passes... case the strip that you're planning to use.

I shudder to think about what I'd get for 125+ in MN... they're still sore about that near 200 MPH bike in the SE part of the state.

Fortunately, where I live, I have long, open stretches with no houses/trees/cars for miles.

Re: My first Datamaster run..with results!!!

Datamaster log was right my intake temps are high checked the water pump for the I/C today and sure enough it's dead.

Had I not made these logs I wouldn't have even checked it since I'm going to a2a soon.

I'm not worried about the ticket I'll get a lawyer and he'll go in get the fine changed to something else like walking my dog without a leech and it won't show up on my driving record. it'll cost the same but hey you gotta pay to play  I just thought it was a funny story since it was my first Datamaster run. :rotf:

As far as the worth of cops sitting behind a tree out in the middle of no where I think It's a waste of tax payer dollars but hey, this ticket will pay a week of that cops salary so what do I know :D

funny thing is this isn't the fastest speed I've been pulled over doing.
I got stopped doing 114mph in my Porsche a few years back the cop came up to my window told me too "Slow down and becareful" then started to leave.
I told him thanks and promised I'd never speed thru Buda, Texas again and I have not,
after that night I drop to the 55-65 mph limit in that town every time I go thru it.

being cool can go a lot furher towards preventing things than being a dick will.
case in point

First time I pulled my STi out of my drive way and got on to a road near my house I got pulled over for no front license plate...the car was brand new 2 days old and still had dealership plates on it I have never seen a car with dealer plates front and back.

Once he pulls me over he says "I pulled you over for no front plate but, I see you have no seat belt on so I'm going to give you a ticket for that too"
When I explained I took my seat belt off to get my wallet out of my back pocket he called me a liar and finished giving me the ticket.

Now everytime I see a DPS officer I give him the finger :fist: and none of my cars or trucks have a front plate.
