Nick from Newtech Performance in Hayward will be tuning it. We will be going to a different shop to use a AWD dyno.

The hose looks like its the one for your charcol canister, that should be right underneath where your oil cooler was.

The wire...looks like a connection for your lights, check to see if you fog lights work. I remember connecting it to the lights harness when i swaped out my harness on the typhoon.

In your wiring pics, the only things I can come up with are,

#1 pic: That is a connection that goes to the ABS module C111, the diagram lists it as White, Purple, and Black/White. So as long as the wiring is something close to that, because that is what the connector looks like.

#2 pic: It's very hard to see wiring color, but if I had to venture a guess it appears to be the 4 wheel antilock brake pump motor C146, Red and Black wiring. Or it could be for the windshield washer pump, which shows Pink and possibly Black. The deciding factor is which harness is it in. You have three harness coming out of the junction block on the firewall. If it comes from the medium sized one (the one with 10 connections) then it's for the windshield washer pump. If it doesn't and just ties into the larger harness during its travel, then it comes from the ABS.

#3 pic: My guess is cruise control also. Very difficult to see wiring color and position. If you can get a pic of the connector end also that will make it much easier as they almost all different from one another. That hose probably went to the cruise control also.

Re: My budget LQ4/4L80E build!

you're gonna have a hot fender!

the 180 bend for the downpipe is tight so it will be like 2" away from any point of the fender. I will have to cut the inner part of the fender though. I would live to just run the pipe right out the side of the fender but my passengers might not like that.

Don't bash him for doing something he wants to do. It is his project. If it is wrong or gets messed up later on that will be his problem and he will learn from his mistakes. It is a budget build and somethies you have to do things the cheap way. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. If hot rodders back in the day were worried about not stepping out of the boundaries when building something where would we be today. So learn from your mistakes and build it the way you want. If he blows the engine up then that just gives him another reason to make it stronger. That is just my opinion. Try to have fun doing it.

Re: My budget LQ4/4L80E build!

i've cleaned up the thread. Please keep this on topic guys. Enough bickering amongst the peanut gallery. Its Just a Six...enough mention of the thermal wrap. 4 times is more than enough for 1 thread.
