my brake pedal lights up my fog lights?

I just noticed that the fuse was blown for my brake lights (didn't even know they were out until today). So I switched it out, got the brake lights working but noticed that when i press the brake pedal, my fog lights and an gauge light behnd the dash lights up too! The fogs only light up when their own light switch is turned on. So if I turn that light off, when i presst he brakes, they don't light up. Where do I even begin to start looking for this fix? It's not supposed to be that way right?

Check the tail/brake lights ground rear of frame drivers side. Not sure about the fogs but I could see with the dash lights.

Do the fogs light normally? How about turn sigs, panel lights, every other light for that matter.

everything seems to be working properly, all the lights work. I drove it and noticed that my boost gauge and volt gauge fluctuates when my blinkers are on. So I guess I have a ground issue, just don't know where to even start looking.

You have a shorted filament in one of your brake light bulbs. Remove one brake bulb at a time to see which one solves the problem....

Good call. I've actually had that happen. Took awhile to find though...:roll:

I've had a car do this, someone put one of the dual filament bulbs in wrong and was making it back feed into the park lamp circuit when the brake circuit was energized.

First typhoon I bought had this problem and it was because it had the wrong bulbs on all tail lights and the bumper signal lights.
