Well Robert (Mtn Z) came by for some new upgrades. We were planning on dropping the rear, adding front and rear sway bars, and fixing his donkey dick exhaust pipe. Well we got most of it done except for running into some slight problems with the bolts for the front sway bar to the tubular A-arm area. Well here are the pics, enjoy.

The front bar is stock and the rear is a bell tech

Where do you get those lowering blocks? Are they 2"?

The lowering blocks were made by my father. He is a prototype machinist at Northrop Grumman and makes me some nice one off parts. They are aluminum 2" drop with built in pinion wedges. The also have stainless hole bushings and stainless pins to strengthen those areas. So far this is the fourth set he has made. It rocks having him around.
Thanks,

I got my lowering blocks from Advance Auto about $30, they are made of heavy steel , very strong.

Unfortunately, we had some issues getting the front sway bar on with the RPM coilovers as we managed to snap a bolt. It will be finished next weekend and I will give you a handling report. It handles pretty goofy right now with only a rear sway bar.

Those block are the shit!!! Wish they were for sale.

Yeah, they went in very easily and they look great as well. My truck's stance is perfect now. Paul's dad is awesome for making these for me.

Re: Mtn Z's Sy got some goodies!!

you have to bolt the ends on the front sway bar on with the suspension compressed,

Yeah I know. That wasn't the issue we were having as the suspension was compressed. The washer we were using on the outer bolts was too big for the bushing bracket so it started pushing on the threads of the bolt. When we tried to back it out to use a smaller washer, the bolt snapped in two. We tried drilling it out but we didn't have an ez out handy so we didn't get to finish the job. The front bar will go back on no problem next weekend.

ah, I made the suspension in the air boo-boo

It happens. Trust me, I was pretty unhappy when that bolt snapped because it took a lot of time to try and fix. Hopefully we learned from our mistakes and next weekend goes more smoothly. ;)

Yea but their not Davey Z custom machined aluminum 2" lowering blocks, 8* pinion wedged built in, with stainless bushings and pins. Now are they:rotf:

Re: Mtn Z's Sy got some goodies!!

Well Robert came over this last weekend and we finished installing his front bar. We used some nice ARP 12 point small heads on the front end brackets and all worked well.

Here are the pics, enjoy:

Re: Mtn Z's Sy got some goodies!!

Pics look great! I can't believe the difference in handling with both the front and rear bar. I also added a few clicks to the front shocks to stiffen it up a little. I am definitely happy with the outcome. Thanks for the help Paul!
