Weather permitting, I am going to race the ty tonight....finally. If anyone wants to show up ill be there around 6 probably till 9 maybe 10. The track is moroso motorsports park in West Palm. I know its short notice, but its worth a shot. There’s a chance it will rain and ill have to go Friday instead. I'll post up the slips and videos tomorrow.

I don't know why you guys spend the money to go to Moroso. A three year old on a Big Wheel couldn't hook on that garbage...

speed world in orlando is the only other one I know of. I think the conditions there are worse though.

Immokalee Raceway is 3/4 of the way across Alligator Alley. Nice 1/8th mile track, good for tuning out the suspension.

And for GOOD 1/4 mile action, the trip to Bradenton Motorsports Park is WELL worth the 3 hour drive up the west coast:

Orlando Speed World is another Ice Skating rink 51 weeks out of the year, the only exception being when the World Street Nationals are in town.

I love how everyone puts down OSW, usually they drive slow ass Camaros and Mustangs though. I've cut 1.6s in the Ty and 1.70s in my old Sy. It's just fine for us, the RWD cars just need some weight over the back bumper. You can pull the fronts year round, just need a little help in the setup.

Re: Moroso Test and Tune Tonight

Well the weather held up and after the rainy drive up we actually got to run. Track was real sticky and conditions were ok. Too bad my ty sucked. I ran a 14.5 at 92mph and parked it. I still managed a 1.9 short time on a 5psi launch but it took forever to build it up to 5 psi. Strange cause 3 days ago it was running great. The turbo has been leaking oil slightly for a while, the front tires are almost bald, needs alignment, firewall leaks water and the a/c is dying again. I kinda just wanted to get a strong baseline run in before it was down 4 months to fix all that stuff but I guess I was 3 days late =/. Due to lack of funds and patience i'll be taking a break from the ty for a while.

I put down OSW because we took about 30 f-bodies up there from South FL, and every single car was .2+ off their 60' that they run at Bradenton.

Re: Moroso Test and Tune Tonight

Orlando's a skating rink year round, every year we ran the World Street Nats our car would never run as good over there as it did in Bradenton.

Immokalee is worth the drive.
We ran our best 1/8th mile times on that track.
The track works very good, just don't get out of the groove and it's a narrow groove.

Sadly the Hemi Nova is now a thing of the past.
Anybody want to buy a rolling Outlaw 10.5 Nova set up for blown Hemi and Lenco?
