More white smoke this time

After writing the first time about the smoke I didn't see it anymore.

But it came back.. :x ..The Ty had been sitting for a couple of days, it was rainy and the outside temp. was a little cooler than it has been. I started her up and I got a significant amount of white smoke for about 30 sec. to 1 minute, or at least until it slightly warmed up. Is this valve seals or just a combination of the sitting and weather??

If it is seals how much $$ am I looking at??

condensation from the cold weather, if it was valve seals it will do it for only a couple seconds and 1 puff, valve seals will also have a very slight blue tint to it.

Seals aren't all that bad remember our trucks are getting old...anyway, I'd keep an eye on her because Blue smoke denotes oil which means valve seals...don't panic just keep an eye out and if it is valve seals think about any goals you might have...if you're the upgrading type you could always swap a nice turbo, heads, and chip in for a good time if not stock set up is all good too...it doesn't take too much to take the stocke heads off and replace the valve seals...time really check with the BB before you do anything...best of luck bro...

all 4.3's pretty much prior to the vortechs in my experience have been terrible with the valve seals. The Ty did it...the Jimmy did it. Alot of my friends s-series have done it. I concur with the others above...not to worry too much unless it starts smoking all the time...which is bad.

I'm pretty sure the smoke was just white, and since it doesn't seem to be consistant I'm thinking it's not valve seals (at least not yet anyway). But I'll be sure to keep an eye out for any blue smoke that may come with it.

thanks for your input guys
