more tire sizes

ok so I have a set of c5 wheels. 17x8.5 and 18x9.5. I was thinking about running 245/45/17 and 245/40/18. Is this a good combo? according to tire rack they both measure 25.7 in hight. so i can keep a stock set of sy rims with 245/50/16 drag tas for the back(when i go to the track). good idea?

i am running 245/40r18 all the way around on my z-06 rims, i have not put them on the car yet(no spacers) but there is pics look in post "my new rims".
i kept with the size to stay a stock size also.
but it may look kind of funny having a bigger tire up front,
id say try it out it may look fine

yes he is correct on this, i am running 245/40 and t275/35 would fi a bit better, but oh'well i already bought my tires. also there is a pic in the lounge in one of the new threads with 17's up front and 18's in back, it dont look bad at all

thanks for the tips guys. now ive got to decide which tire to go with. fiveoh which thread are you talking about?
