Perhaps its time for a blanket disclaimer that any info located herein can be lost at any time for any reason.
Then again theres always gotta be something to complain about....

Sounds like I hit a nerve. Sorry didnt mean to.
Not trying to complain, just wondering why this stuff happens with no mass email, announcement or anything. Its a guessing game sometimes.
Maybe you guys should research a new server if its giving you that many problems. After a while I hired someone to run my backend stuff and didnt lose anything again after a couple crashes. Im not trying to sound like a dick but I have run a vBulletin forum site for 5 years with a TON of traffic and it didnt seem to run into alot of issues. http://www.stuntlife.com/forums/members/1-shugga.html and more recently I started http://www.sclusivetexas.com/forums/member.php?u=1
I understand the frustration sometimes when it comes to running a messageboard BELIVE ME, but you guys need to understand us being completely clueless is frustrating too.

I agree, somethings weren't handled properly.. but you also have to understand that we don't sit on the site 24/7 so you the user might find the problem before the admins do.. so posting a message about a problem we don't know about is kind of hard.. then there are 5 threads all wondering where posts went and we have to reply asap with as much info as we can.
the site did switch servers, aside from the human error made when the site was switched over to a new server and this failure the uptime has been very impressive.. it is way better than the previous hosting thats for sure.

That is why I checked the admin forum (this one) 1st and saw nothing. As far as I knew this was the 1st thread and same with the last time threads were lost a week or so ago. I was flaming anyone, or posting in the main forums, or bashing anyone at all. Just wondering what is going on. I know its hard, but without people like me who ask and let you guys know and tell you of options, how else would you know?
Now here to attck, you guys should know I spend alot of time here and donated money. Im a supporter, not an enemy.

We all know my federal hose thread pissed you off and you since crashed the server to delete it, admit it!
on a serious note, when were the last donations, we may needa start that up again for some upgrades >.< Im totally willing to help.

If we knew that the server was going to crash then we would have taken precautions and there would be no lost threads..
This is like saying "Is there anyway that someone could let you know when you're about to have a car crash?"

For the record I have nothing to do with the hardware but aside from the TWO issues we have had in the past,
what... 6 months I would say the new hosting company is doing a fine job.
If you all had this high of reliability expectations of your SyTys you wouldn't be able to tolerate owning one.
Yes it's frustrating but do we really need a new thread ridiculing the site staff everytime there is a hiccup?
I am going back to work some of us are expected to produce something at our full time jobs.

Again. I was simply asking. For some reason you guys seem to think it was a public sneak attack. Re-read what the 1st post was.
A week or so ago it was avoidable when we lost threads. Someone forgot to close the old server with a forward message to the new one during the DNS propagation period.
I must appologize that I thought it was the same sort of situation.
