Moates Flash and Burn

Anybody using this burner? Worth the money? I'm looking for something that is user friendly. I'm going to use the Romulator. Has anyone put up good instructions yet on what variables are used and what they are used for. I think I have my bin loaded in it but without the truck running I can't tell for sure. I'm thinking that the "flash and burn" burner would be nice to use once I get the tuning set.

I'm working on the instructions for the Romulator, Tunercat RT, Tunercat ,Promgrammer, Pocket Programmer as we speak (literally).........should be done tomorrow or Sunday.

Flash and Burn works great. Very fast on USB and cheap.

I have essentially the same thing on the Autoprom, uses the same software to burn chips.

Sounds good Paul. I need something that works on modern computers. The burner i currently have requires an older motherboard with that particular slot not available on my computer
So I won't need additional software other than the one that comes with the flash and burn? Besides promgrammer of course.

Software wise to make your own bins, you need either Programmer or Tuner Pro (Free version will work but it is worth the $30).

Hardware you need:

• Flash and Burn
  G1 adapter for single program chips or the G3 Adapter for Multi-Program Chips
  The appropriate eeprom chip (Atmel 29C256 Chip for Single Bin Chips or the SST 27SF512 Chip/AMD 29F040 Chip for Multi-Program Chips)

Then download the software drivers and burner software off www.moates.net and you should be good to go. It is cheap, works very well and is fast. If you are looking for a burner/reader this is the one I would recommend.
