If it's comparable to HEET, then yes, it's methanol. I still haven't found a cheaper source than local kart tracks ($3 per gallon = ~$0.02 per ounce)....and I doubt you will either.

A local cart store,(pitts) does not even sell methanol.

They make & sell really nice race carts too.

I just read the forum on Devils own,stating this product from Walmart.

Heet (yellow) is available most anywhere. Prices vary location to location. In my area its between $2 to $4 a bottle. If you can find meth local, go with buying it in bulk. Its about $5/gal around here. Plus the good stuff smells better then the Heet :tup:

I pay $5 a gallon at Austin Performance. but then 5 gallons lasts a long time.

I have drums of methanol for the race cars... Cost about 180 for 55 gallons. :tup:

We buy if for commercial use at my work (used for atmosphere for heat treating parts)

We're currently paying $4.20 a gallon for 1500 gallon deliveries about every 3 months. That does include some delivery and transportation charges, since most of this stuff seems to be stored / imported into Newark, NJ and we're in Baltimore.

So, if you're getting methanol for anywhere near or less than that you're doing well.

Wow....makes me wonder how the local track sells it for $3 per gallon (minimum purchase of 1 gallon). :eek:

And yes, I know they're not diluting it with water. :D

I use VP M1 methanol it is expensive $75 for 5 gallons but i know what i am getting not sure i would chance my 10k motor on some unknown methanol source, just my :2cents:

I'm paying $3.50 a gallon for 100% in upstate SC. Clover, SC to be precise if anyone's looking for a place to buy. It's about 40-45 min south of Charlotte.

We use it at work for windshield washer fluid. We get it straight, add the blue chemical, and mix with about 40% water (or less if its going to be really cold). We get it from Corey Oil in 55 gal drums.

Yes the walmart stuff is 100% meth.What I use is commonly called gas line antifreeze or air line dryer.
Heat is way expensive.
