Ordered up the transmission and related parts.

Tranzilla T-56 Magnum rated 850 ft lbs with
32 spline output shaft and 2.66 1.78 1.30 1.00 .74 .50 gear option
Tail housing and adapter plate to mate to a 32 spline Borg Warner 4472 transfer case
UPDATED ***Quicktime "lightweight" steel LS bellhousing***

I'll be installing the McCleod RXT Twin Disc clutch and aluminum flywheel as well.

I need to order the 32 spline shaft and billet upgrade for the transfer case.

I'll need to redesign the pedal box and optimize the pedal positions so I can heel and toe easily. I'm going to order a CNC hanging clutch assembly to match the CNC dual master cyclinder hanging brake pedal assembly.

While I'm at it I'll have the driver side door bars redesign for better side impact protection.

I hope to have the project done by July before the next SCCA event. Going to be a lot of work!

What tail-housing and adapter are you using? I am doing something fairly similar and was wondering if you found something we could buy instead of fab.

Not 100% sure, but I believe it's the Z06 tail housing and adapter plate from George at the performance division at Rockland Gear. Custom 32 spline output shaft in place of the standard 31 spline.

Let's just say it's gonna cost more than one should reasonably spend for a Sy drive train.

Isn't the whole truck this way? Then again, most street sytys have more invested into them than they are worth. If you wanna play......
Can't wait to see it in action. Keep up the good work.

I cant wait to see your truck complete , fast as hell , and most importantly winning !!

On your truck , any new big $$$ setup is just insurance on the rest of your investment . A very bad return low margin investment as race cars seem to be ,lol , but you gotta have fun some how .

Re: Manual Transmission Conversion Begins!

I just need to stop building it and keep it running long enough to get some consistent seat time. Then we can think about going fast. I was on track for some fast times last weekend with the new 1000 lb front spring changes, but the shit broke before I could turn up the wick. FWIW, the motor is running awesome on E85.
