Manifold to turbo gaskets??

Hey guys, when I originally put my pt-51 in, the fellas at the shop helped me custom make some gaskets to go between both sides of the T3-T4 adapter that came with the 51. Held fine for a couple of years, 1.5 years being down time. Anyway, after I started to run some boost in the 20's range, I heard a exhaust leak coming from the passenger side. Read a couple of threads, thought it was the back manifold bolt,... nope. Closer inspection revealed that both custom gaskets (made of some metallic material with a tin-ish liner in the middle) had crapped out. Do I actually need a gasket on both sides of the adapter?? Or do I just bolt metal to metal. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Metal to metal with a high temperature silicone (reddish in color) is the choice of most.

$8 from road race engineering. I've run this for 3 years and has never leaked. I popped my DP off yesterday that I had sealed with high temp silicone and there was nothing there. Long since burned away.
