Isn't it amazing how small that engine looks in there when the bay is cleaned out? Hard to believe such a small thing can make that kind of power. Where did you get those solid mounts, Frank?

Got the mounts from Mike Lee (RPM). They didnt fit !!!! No matter what i did i couldnt get the holes to line up. I ended up cutting a 1/8 inch out of the Moroso motor mounts on each side then rewelded them back together. I had the motor in and out 10 times before i gave up and cut them down shorter. I can imagine doing them with the motor and trans still in the truck!!!

Weird.
When I installed mine I had to take the 1/4" spacer/backing plate from the ES urethane mounts & install them between the block & the mounts to get the bolt holes to line up.

Looks great. Did you tell MIke Lee about the motor mounts? It makes me wonder how many more are like this. I just ordered a set from him and would really shoot the truck if they do not fit..

Well it up and running now. I had a few small leaks to deal with and a rocker arm problem that turned out to be defective rockers. I drove it aroud a bit today and since i have no tune in the bigstuff 3 system yet i did not make any boost. Tommorow is off to Harry Anderson to try to put a good tune in it, and i hope it stays together! Its been a huge amount of work to build this truck and im glad its almost over as im out of motivation for awhile. I will update after the tune goes in.
I can say that I have nothing but good thing to say about Mike @ RPM for all the quality parts i bought from him and the tech help along the way, George Blake of Prime Gears was also very helpfull with his advice and the trans he built for me was a beast to say the least! Ive also gotten loads of help from other SYTY members here and i am greatfull for all the help threw this ordeal! Now i need to get to the track and video some stuff 4 you guys to see.

Awesome! Seeing guys like you tackle all of these projects on your own gives me hope as I progress through mine. Hope to see some good numbers out of that thing.
