Re: LS7 Indy Syclone

do you think 11.9 cr is kinda hi to add some boost down the road? or would you be pulling the motor and swapping pistons down the road?

most would say yes. i think with e-85 or e-98, or alcohol could be done easily. i know of a bbc that has a big blower on it, runs 13/1 with a ton of boost. made 1800 hp.

Nolan knows his s*** as well as anyone. He has possibly already had one of these engines with a similar build, but with a turbo on the dyno. Any idea how much boost you could run Nolan?

Re: LS7 Indy Syclone

WOW I need to read here more often. I will try to update my photobucket with more pics for the non facebookers. I just find life to work like this. Get up in the morning go to work,
run around like a chicken with my head cut off all day, get home play with kids till bed time, run out to garage and try to get shit done, go to bed, repeat. So taking time to up load pics is not high on list. So I take pics with my phone and upload to facebook.

I never plan to run boost on this motor its N/A and will have some NOS.

If I do get the boost bug again I will build another motor for boost and put this motor into a RX8.

So, out of sheer curiosity, what would you sell this truck for? What do you think you could actually get? Nice Sy btw...

Not sure really, I guess I would decide when somebody offered some money.
I am looking for a new project to start on but I do want something to beat on while I
am working on the new project.

Re: LS7 Indy Syclone

I bought the motor out a wreaked Z06 for $5800 then did some work on it. The 80e was about $3000.00. There is a bunch more expenses to go along with it all and I never kept track.

Can I ask what the engine and trans ran you?

Nice, I have big dreams of a conversion for me, but I think I would be happier with a turn key.
