i did offer you a set but you tried to pretend you wouldn't need them.

I don't have time to design/fab the ladders themselves just yet. Besides i'm working on a diff design overall, not just a dustan copy

lol - maybe i'll build another one.

Ok....so do to the incident a few months back....this truck is getting rebuilt from the frame up and I'm doing as much as my budget can allow....

So basically the following will be done:

-backhalf the truck with double adj ladder bars/narrowed 9 inch housing(Posi w/ 3.90 gears)
-Mustang cobra rear drilled/slotted disc brakes, stock size drilled/slotted rotors and painted calipers up front.
-Tubular upper and lower control arms up front
-QA1 coil overs front and rear
-Frame will be painted
-Yank 3200 stall converter
Wheels- CCW SP500
-Front: 18X8's
-Rear: 18X12's with 335/30R18 drag radials

As for body work:
-Cab will be fixed
-Have a new bed, driver's door, and driver's fender

As of right now, all I am lacking are the wheels, rear axels, and rear brakes.

I'm not sure if this truck will get paint any time soon, but I'm gonna try for it

Anyways, here are some update pics as of last sunday:

The LS1 is staying as is this time around....only real performance mod is the stall converter.

This project is mainly to just to get the truck set up to get all the power to the ground, handle the power I eventually plan for it to have, and get traction.....I'll worry about heads/cam/blower and all that fun stuff alittle later down the road.

Yeah baby! Mine's getting everything but the cab pulled off this weekend so we can take it in to have the bed tubbed. Good luck and I'm glad you like the frame!

Yea, its very nice/easy to work on when it is stripped down to the frame. My only fear is that once the frame is a full roller it is going to look too good to put a body over it... :rotf: owell.

But yea, I'm pretty happy with the frame. It will be able to ride nice and low like I wanted and it should hook pretty well too. As of right now the ride height is set so the frame is about 5 inches from the ground...I can't wait to see the stance of the truck when it is done...especially with deep dish 18's in the back with a 6 inch lip on them. Should look pretty mean.

Little update for ya guys...Frame is about half done...going to finish painting it this week whenever I get time since I just started school today. On with the pictures!

(I have no idea why there is a big green nasty looking spot on the passenger side cab mount on the frame....I know for a fact that it is black...cause I just went and looked at it ....lol blame the camera)

I used POR-15 to paint this frame....I must say I am very pleased with this stuff. It looks awesome!

Housing powder coated blood red :)

Rear disc brakes...rotors are 11.6 diameter

Yank 3200 stall

I've got quite a few other parts sitting in the garage...but I was out there for not even 10 minutes and started sweating like crazy.....so maybe more pics later sometime when it isn't so hot....Arizona sucks Btw.

Hey Taylor,

Before you begin to remount the bed, make sure you check all of the mounting tabs for levelness. I just ran into this problem on mine after they remounted the bed. Both sides were welded at just enough of an angle that they can't shimmy the bolts up there so the two offenders have to be cut and rewelded. Not too expensive just a pain in the butt and pushed the release date back another week.

Well for updates...the frame is now completely painted...as well as the spindles. I forgott the camera yesterday though so I don't have any pictures :(

I'll make sure to take some this comming weekend for you guys though. It should have front and rear suspension on it by that time. I'm ordering wheels this week as well...so look forward to seeing those fairly soon...

TY for the heads up. I'll watch for that when I get to the point of tubbing/mounting the bed although that probably won't be until october/november area...lol

looking good, whats the ETA on the cab?

Had my dad's friend come check it out about 2 weeks ago. He says he can fix it no problem. He also does paint..so I might try and get this truck painted too. Only thing is that he can't do it until october because he is currently working on a car that is going to debut at SEMA.
