UPDATE!! did some searching, came acoss this. although it would still require a crank signal, it's an option. takes the place of the dist completely and drives the oil pump.

I like it. They seem to be under $200. I didn't see anything for a 4.3 though.

Taking a closer look. There is a part #7609 v6 - coil harness.

This is how everyone else has done it in the past. Use the MSD Cam plug and a modified crank wheel, balancer and A/C or alternator bracket.

I received the sample harness from Casper's today. It is absolutely fantastic.

I am having a dust cover/cap made up out of billet alum with the mount for the optical sensor to complete the package.

You can get coils at the stealership or check on eBay. Check the LS1 forums, etc... Tons of places if you search.

Any local auto parts store should carry them. When I replaced all of them on my car, they ran in the $350 range for all 8. So figure between $30-$45 per coil.

Is there a diffrence between older ls1 and new ls1 coils? I believe i read somewhere about the ls2 coils providing more spark? Does anyone know?
