ls1 abs problems

so I installes ls1 rear brakes on my sy this past week. It involved more cutting and drilling than I was expecting. I really butchered(cant spell) the abs sensors so now the computer is reading both those circutes as broken. Has anyone used sensors out of a different vehicle, how does everyone else get theirs to work? Does eveyone else just delete the abs? I would rather not do that but if its the easyiest way, it would clean up the engine bay alittle :) If the abs system is triped does it effect the way the brakes feal? Im dissapointed in the way the ls1 brakes perform. but I think I still have some air in the passenger line, going to check today.

I was told the rear was to be a bolt in afair , but I have yet to do this mod . Its next on the list . I will ask matt when i see him later to do some wrenching/tuning . I intend to keep 4 wheel abs with the disc conversion and want to get to the bottom of this .

Re: ls1 abs problems

mine look like whats in that first picture. bolted the new hardware on, I did rotate the caliper brackets. the second pic is of the old drum setup. and the abs sensor can mount in the same holes, BUT, the abs sensor is too tall and didnt allow me (maybe something is wrong with me) to reinstall the axles far enough to put the c-clips back on. so I had to grind. then i guess the sensors didnt like that so they dont work now. turbodog, it sounds like I tried doing the same thing u did, didnt work. abs light is still on, im just ignoring it. i did have air in my lines that i blead out and i also got a set of steel braeded brake lines from tt350 (i think thats his name) he was a great help by the way. I think that following weekend i did the front ls1 swap also. so brakes work awsome. best upgrade so far. but still no abs fix and no parking brake.
