Hey guys anyone running fans on the lower intercooler (heat exchanger)? If so have you noticed big temp differences? I'm looking at some cheap ones on eBay and thinking of adding them to the ty.

Re: Lower intercooler fans

This is my air-to-air fan. I haven't had the truck running yet since install to see the difference, but I have purchased a couple of the cheap E-Gay crap fans. Either showed up broken or noisy when run. This is a Spal fan, and from the input I've gotten from the community, you either pay for it now with a good fan, or you pay for it later with constantly changing it out. I did notice a difference with a air scoop, but most of my outings with the truck have been to car shows. With alot of stop-&-go at those events, I'm hoping that a fan will help.

just my 2:2cents:

Wow that looks nicely done! I was debating on using 1 or 2 fans I definitely thought about the spal fan as well. I guess 1 spal would be better than 2 generic fans any day.

I had an 8" SPAL on my CCHE on my Syclone, it helped when sitting in stop n go traffic and staging lanes. But outside of that, you're not gonna see a big difference if you have it on while driving around, get a scoop instead (if you don't already have one).

Eons ago there was a thread on here about plumbing the IC lines into the heater core and running the AC... blowing cold air will certainly help more than sucking ambient air (if it's hot out). I've considered going that route, but I love AC too much to compromise it in any way.
