at what milage is a syty no longer considered low milage ? i know you see some with insane low milage like less than 15,000 miles , but what milage is still considered low ? 30,000 , 40,000. just curious.
I have 28K on my 92 Ty and I consider it very low mileage, but others may differ.
I figure if it is still under the original warranty mileage, it should be considered low
:myclone: If you are averageing under 12k a year then that is considered low mileage. I think with most people, as long as it has under 100k, it's considered low milage.
You need to look at the trucks in circulation, figure out roughly what the average mileage is and then if you're below that it's "low or below average).
Mine have 36K and I think that is pretty low. 36k, 16 yrs old = 2,250/year,,,yep
I think many people have their own defintion. One thing that happens after vehicle get so old that miles per year maybe low mile driven, but it doesn't constitute a low mileage vehicle. For instance no is calling a car averaging 6K mile per year such a Grand National (120K) or a 67 Camaro (240K) low miles. I consider a car with under 50-60K miles low miles. I could maybe even go for 60-80K miles. Anything over 100K most consider high miles even though with a 16 year old Sclone that is only 6250 miles per year. Their are few other categories of Ultra Low mileage. Their seem to a be quite bit of a spike when a vehicle has under 20K miles and another spike when it practically brand new around 1000 miles.
My Braphoon has 257,000 miles on the body but the 93 Ty drivetrain only has just a tick over 50k miles....What do I classify it as? Some low miles, mostly extremely high miles?
I've always figured low mileage for these trucks to be somewheres around <45k ... I'd consider mine high with 140k on the body (although the rebuilt tranny and motor have only about 2500 on them ).
At this point, I'm competing for highest mileage SyTy  I built it to enjoy it, and the odometer isn't going to stop me
It definately depends on the age of the vehicle. I personally would say anything with under 100k is LOW SYTY wise ... if our trucks were used as DD's their entire life, they would have ATLEAST 192k on them ---
