Looking to buy a TY .... what to look for

I am looking at buying a Typhoon ..... is there anything I should watch out for? Any common issues?

I'm not actually searching for one..... I have found one I want to buy ... compleatly stock with 30K on it .... what I am wanting to know is ... what should I have checked out and what should I look for on it

Watch out for a empty wallet due to maintaince and the "better performance bug" LOL

Common issues: Tranny, tranny, tranny and tranny.


Shifts shall be hard 1-2...and I mean HARD!
Turbo: Try to feel the impell, is there any play?
Ball joints: Are they originals? Originals are rivited PITA to change. New ones are bolted.
Codes. are the truck getting any codes
Chip: Is it stock? Kenne Bell Chip=watch out!
Stock boost controller?

if every thing right and it's completely stock go for it its a good deal

thank you ... that was the info I was looking for ..... and the 1st to 2nd "snappy" shifting is normal? I was a little concerned about this when I drove it
