Typhoon was running really rough when I started her up Friday Jan. 27 and performance was lousy. Acted like it had no compression or was "missing", although it would occasionally even out for a short period of time. The CHECK GAUGES light was flashing quickly and the tach was swinging wildly from 0 to 2000. Everything got worse as I drove the 5 miles to the dealer; I barely made it.
The car has been parked on their lot since and no one will look at it till Monday but I don't have much faith in the local dealer since they have never seen a Typhoon before. I take my M coupe to Don Black, an independent shop in Louisville but I think he just does imports. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD SHOP/MECHANIC IN THE LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY AREA??
Because gas went up 30 cents on Jan. 25, I filled up with premium at a rural station that was still selling at the old price. I have never bought gas there before, so it's possible this is just a dirty gas problem (or other fuel problem).
Any wisdom appreciated.
