I lost from a roll to my buddy in his lightning he wins anytime except from a stop. that SS Trail Blazer beat me on the highway from a 70 punch and pulled away. WTF is goin on here i got rpm short block rpm tranny stock headers stock turbo stock chip tune with 50lb injectors atr with gutted cat and i cant realy hang with either one on the highway with 20psi???????????

Assuming both these vehicle are stock (no mods), a Lightning has ~102-104 mph trap speeds, TrailBlazer SS has just under 100mph trap speed. With a stock turbo you are somewhat limited on the top end. I would guess if your running 20psi, that your Ty isn't running to its full potential. If your trying to run 20psi on pump gas (no alky), you probably losing hp to detonation.

Use your breaks to spool quicker before the third honk... and yea your truck isn't really ment for roll racing the bread and butter is from a dig. also why have all that $$ invested and using a stock turbo?

HaHa i thought these questions would come up. I just bought the truck 1 monh ago as is. the only thing i have done is have it tuned to run 18 to 20psi on pump gas. of course im getting upgrades prolly rpm stage 3 turbo electric cut out and custom chip and alky but dont got the cash flow for that just yet. Yes i know our trucks are ment to race from a dig. but you cant do that goin down the highway and i have raced the lightning from a dig but he just burns out and i murder him off the line. and i raced that trail blazer ss from 70 cause it was 2 chicks drivin stupid and i had to catch up to them to race and the dumb b**** only slow down to 70 so i also lost to a girl.

well you have to figure out what your goals are for the truck because racing from a roll with an awd brick with stock power is gay as shit and you will loose especially at higher mph rolls like that so pick and choose your races better suited for your truck's setup and you will more often. Or get another credit card and dumps ton's o moneys into the thing

HAHHAHAHA, the more you lose ... the more confidence everyone in STL will be that "sytys are slow" = more kills for me jkjk.
Honestly , a stock truck from a 70 roll is just asking to lose. My truck runs good with a 50mph STOMP (the tranny kicks down just right) ... besides that , I dont try to race unless its from a dig, heheeh.
On the way back from gateway I got a 55mph run with an ls1 TA that just ran 12.7's at the track. We were door to door up to 95mph ( I let off, I dont do 100mph+ ... my license means too much to me ) ---

I understand what your sayin. But if i see a possible race im gonna take it doesnt matter if its my trucks strong point or not yes god yes i prefer to race from a stop. I also know that a rwd supercharged truck is more top end.
I raced another new cummins over the weekend. he didnt know what a Ty was so when i asked him to race his first respose was how much i had 4 people with me nd we only had $60 and he agreed. i said from a stop and he agreed and almost insisted from a stop we rolled out and i was like what an idiot. my buddy counted out the window and i launched and murderd him so bad he tried sayin i jumped the line. so i told him go ahead and go first before me then ill go on your motion. well my brakes couldnt hold back and budged a lil so he took off without me bein ready stoped looked back then took off on the highway an ran. i still miss that $60 bucks.lol

My transfer case is pretty f'd up right now. I am collecting parts for a full rebuild from REDLINE (suspension, tranny, engine) . If you dont mind just seeing my truck , I am down for a meet ... but if you want a fun ride, I will let you know when its complete.
I have NEVER seen a TY in real life ... so I am ready to meet up too ---
