Let project WideSyTy begin

I just bought Ty #1862 over a month ago from a dealer in ID. I already starting working on fixing it up. It died on me after I only went about 20 miles. I have already replaced the alternator and started relocating the battery to back. The electrical was a hack job on it. Someone moved the battery to the other side of the engine bay where the filter box was located. They just added on more wires by basically electrical taping them together. I should have it fixed soon just waiting for parts. I did however get my new rims in for it. I bought some Shelby Series 1 rims for it. They are 18x10 and 18x12. The rears will stick out about 1 1/2" passed the stock rims. I plan on doing a wide body kit for it based off what is on it now. If anyone has any info on #1862 I would love to hear it......good or bad.

Did you get the rims from corvetteforum? I saw a set on there for sale and wondered what they would look like on a syty. Good luck with the project!

I got them off Ebay for $800 shipped to the door.

On another note I forget to say I am in the DC area. Is there anyone in Northern Va?

If done right I think a wide body kit could look rather sick.. How do you plan on making the kit? Fiberglass?

I like that!Is it available in the states for a Sy?Looks like the pikes peak set up.

fully custom made. roland can give details, he roams on here.

If you interested in a widebody, look up Adam Auerbach (HighPerformanceTrucks) on here. He has the molds off the Pikes Peak Syclone and is currently doing a widebody conversion on his truck.

I do like Roland's Ty. That is basically the look I'm going for. I even like the rover vents. I plan on doing the whole thing out of fiberglass. I just have to find the time. The thing that worries me now is that it might end up being too cold when I finally have the time. I really do not want to wait until spring in order to finish it.

I think he was looking for more interest to get them made. Im sure if he had a few people interested in getting, it would lower the cost a bit.
