led bulbs

hello there!!!!!!
i put in all the bulbs in the tail, turn, sidemarker. and whren i turn on the turnsignal it feeds back into the headlight system and don't flash. but the 4 ways work and they feed back into the headlight system.

i did put electronic flashers in, and all products are from superbrightleds.com

what else do i need to make all this work right???

Re: led bulbs

When you say feeds into the headlights, do you mean that you're getting headlight / dashboard lights flashing with the blinkers / 4ways? The problem generally is that the bulbs don't draw enough current to trigger the flashers properly, but it sounds like you've got a problem with a short somewhere

Re: led bulbs

You've wired something in wrong. It would've been a LOT easier to use the load equalizers. Try putting it back the way it was and just put the led bulb in the turn signal and the signal should just flash quickly. There should be NO feedbacks.

Re: led bulbs

If you're getting cluster feedback, try changing components back to the way they were one at a time, and see if it goes away with any change. That usually happens when you have a filament that is broken and shorting the two circuts together, but in this case it may be that the LED is acting up. Sure you used the right bulbs?

Re: led bulbs

i didnt have the problem before i switched, so now i have the rear led in the brake lights and regular ones in the front turn signal for now and the turn still stays lit but don't fee back into the cluster. i found resistors but there 1 foot long and says i need them at every bulb ... there must be another way????

Re: led bulbs

The bulbs are supposed to have resistance built into them. If you are using the stock flashers, you do need the resistors, and there is no way around it. The electronic flashers should be able to compensate for the LEDs with no additional resistor.

As for the feedback, if it was the front bulbs, double check they are the rigth bulb and that they were properly installed / are functioning properly

Re: led bulbs

i did find out i had a 1156 bulb in the turn signal so i put a 1157 in the socket and the same thing it will stay on steady and the 4 ways work great but the turn signal don't. no more fedback. i am getting closer!!!!!!!
