LB4 stock heads High swirl vane removal

Re: LB4 stock heads High swirl vane removal

I'd have to look it up, not sure . The lb4 head I did work on , the larger exhaust valve I had installed is a 1.6" IIRC. The head is at my friends house where he dose the flow testing & porting. If the Cyl head flows good on the intake would anyone be interested in doing this mod to those LB4 or L35 heads? My friend does excellent porting work.

I was going to ask if you want a donor L35 and LB6 head. I for one would love to have a clear chart of each one side by side listing the stock, ported, and larger valve numbers.

LF6 heads are plentiful at the pick-and-pull place here and every once in a while a 1st gen gets scrapped with the L35 motor. I'll have to check the yards price list again and see what it'll cost to get one of each.

It's just a six

What exactly are lf6 heads? Is the donor L-35 head good?

I have a good set of L35s in the garage you can use as long as I can still use them when you're done.

There is a possibility that the L-35 high swirl vane is not solid, & if it is not solid, if I port into a hollow vane, basically the head would be scrape.

I guess I can let you use them. If they don't work out, I can just get the Vortecs instead, or find another set of L35s. These heads seriously took me 10 minutes tops to get off the engine. Someone already did all the hard work for me.
