For some reason when I try to launch the truck tries to creep away. This happend to me at the track and only ran 15.2. When its cold out at night usually I get perfect launches. I can really mash it and get 6 PSI when the brakes feel like they are reallly holding it down. Every time it feels like it wants to walk It takes off like shit. Anyone else have this problem? Is there a way to make it hold down all the time? Any help would be appreciated.

only thing you can do if you aren't already is put the truck into neutral, press on brake as hard as you can, then rev motor and you'll feel the brake go down to the floor a bit more, hold that then try to build boost in gear...it should help some with holding, but after than, not much else you can do with a stocker unless something is just not working right, but it some trucks can hold more than others from experiences.

If it is still creeps after doing the rev in neutral trick you will need to upgrade or fix your brakes. If their is a little air in the system it will creep, I would bleed the brake (its a good idea to blled the brake evry 2 years anyways.)

I would do the 7/8 wheel cyclinders and and buy 2 sets of cheap rear brake shoes.

I did the just 7/8 wheel cylinders in my Syclone and it fixed my creeping problem. In my typhoon I just had to bleed the brakes. Both of them easily held 10psi after 'fixing' them.

I had no idea you could just "put" bigger shoes on. I would think it would burn em up faster or not fit right without a bigger drum. But I can see the 7/8 deal. The nuetral trick makes sense, Ill have to try it. I realized I truly had a brake problem last night when I posted this thread when I re-raced my friends RAm air T/A and took him til 80 to pass me when we raced during the day yesturday, I felt like it wasnt launching right and he was killin me and I had to tell him lets race again tonight so we did and I gave him a hell of a run. But even right after that pefect launch I tried it again and it crept. My pedal does feel squishy now that you mention it so I guess Ill be bleeding brakes tomorrow. Wish I could figure out how to use those damn vacuum bleeders. Gotta have the woman help me.

Kinda hard to explain, pull a drum off and look at the 2 shoes, one has more contact area then the other, but it will fit in both places so you can buy 2 sets and use 4 “big” shoes instead of 2 big and 2 small. It will make sense when you look at it.

Tried the nuetral trick...cant lie...I LIKE IT. Got a 13psi launch. Felt a lot different. Thanks everyone for the info. Got all the brake stuff for under $50.
