Re: Late nite SyTy crew chime in (drunks welcome)
Heh, I was out cruising today burning out what was left of my 93/xylene concoction from my trip to the track wednesday. There is this series of lights on this two lane road getting onto the highway that if you are quick enough, you can get through the last one *just* as it turns yellow. Well, this guy and his girl were in the left lane beside me in a red sunfire checking me out. The light changes and I roll out a couple of feet before getting on it. I end up about 500 feet ahead of them pretty quick and make the turn onto the highway while they get caught in the lights. That's your "reward" for being too slow . I get on the highway and some yahoo in a white expedition is putting along in the passing lane. There was traffic ahead in my lane so after I waited for him to move over for about 3/4 of a mile I got tired of waiting and passed him on the right. I am driving well over the speed limit during the six mile trek to my exit. Anywho once I am less than a 1/8th mile out, the guy in the red sunfire comes HAULING butt up beside me in the passing lane. Him and his girl have big smiles on their faces and he yells "Man, that thing is a beast!". I waved at him and cracked up laughing knowing that he had to have been at least 30 second behind me after I got on the highway. But, he drove like a MOFO to give the syclone props

!
Sucks, I cruise around for almost an hour on T2 20 psi and not one single car to mess with

. Of course after I got down to less than a quater of a tank and filled up with 93 and set my Ultimate chip to T1 16 psi, I roll up next to a silver convertible 'vette . It's a younger guy and he is all smiles as it is getting late and my triple pillar pod is all lit up like a Christmas tree. He gets on it and I do the same from a 30 MPH roll. He gets about three lengths on me before I had full boost. He doesn't walk me anymore and I don't pull on him any and is was over pretty quick since we had to get on the brakes due to traffic. He gives me a nod and I do the same. He says "So, that's a syclone huh?" I said "yeah". He asks what motor I have and I tell him "just a little ole V6, ran 12.4 @ 107 at the track wednesday". Then he asked what I had done to the motor and I told him nothing, it was stock, never even had the valve covers off. Then he asks me if I want to sell it... I ask him "How much are you willing to pay?" He asks what I would take and I responded $15K and that dashed any interest as he got a disgusted look on his face. He prolly was thinking he could buy my lowered, black 1991 "S10" for $3K and some change ... I wish that I could have ran him from a dig as he seemed like the type that needed to have his 'vette "bubble" busted in a big way .
