Laptop for datamaster

If you were going to buy a laptopjust for datamaster what would it be? My friend has one of those little ones, I think it was a compaq? I cant remember if it ever worked or not. I need to do some tuning and such.

I don't mean to highjack your thread bro but I'd like some info on DataMaster as well. Like does the DataMaster software run on Mac OS X?

I got an IBM thinkpad for free. Im hoping it will work ok but you can find those all day long for almost nothing.

I run mine on a Dell Latitude CPX my 5yr old laptop with a real comm port :tup: , running win2000. This sucker is small and works every time.....and if I lose it I'm out maybe $100 bucks. :lol:

I bought an old laptop w/ DataMaster on it from someone here on the board for next to nothing. I think I paid 100 or 150 for it w/ a bad battery. Will prolly run a small inverter and power supply on it.

DataMaster software runs on the Windows 98, 2000 or XP operating systems and needs 800 x 600 minimum display resolution and one free serial port if data recording is used. It is recommended to have a 133 MHz or better Pentium-class system and at least 64 MB of RAM. DataMaster software requires 10 MB disk capacity for the first installation, and 3 MB for each additional version installed.

With that being said.. I currently have two laptops left for sale that would both be able to handle datamaster
