L35 heads?

do l-35 heads or newer heads make that much difference as a boltup, and do the atr headers add to the combo.

L35's(95-96) are good but the Vortec's are better...Vortec's being the 96 and up heads that require a little more work....the Headers are always a good investment if you begining the HP walk of fame.....

My brother is just going through the motor again on his Typhoon(was previously done in LA by medtec or something like that), the heads had been done before with 1.94's and 160's is he going to gain anything by giong to 2.02' valves on the stock heads? He has the Crane comp cam a 20g mad dog or bad dog whatever it was called back a few years ago. My brother is not computer friendly and I allready advised him against DFI, he has a pit bull in it now. I have the Ultimate in my Syclone.

I got part of your answer. Out here in the boonies, heads are a premium, what #'s should I look for and are the L-35s that much better than stockers?

L35's are better than the stockers but not as good as the vortecs.
