Hey nightdiver, I'm interested in these results of more power with bigger pipes, I can see if you went from a mandrel KINK

2in stock pipe to a nice mandrel bent 2.5

were there might be a difference in flow but I just don't see how just a bigger pipe is better. (I am not looking for flames I am truly interested in this) the way I see it is, the outlet of the turbo is 2.5 (T housing) then you're cooling the air with the intercooler effectively making it "smaller" (hot air expands, cold air contracts). I just don't see there being a benefit to the bigger pipe. Remeber all of this air is under alot of pressure, the normaly aspirated guys are always going with bigger TB's but they don't have 25psi knocking on the door. Last but not least is the area of the two trottle plates I beleive is just about two inches, you could have a nine inch IC pipe it still has to go through the TB.
Didn't someone mention the buick guys had lost some throttle response with the bigger pipes.
just my .o2 worth
