I've seen several pullout setups from TBSS's with trans and everything, and I was just wondering, would it fit into a typhoon? I know anything could fit with enough cutting and fab work but I was wondering if it could, would there be any benefit to it? I've got a lot of LS parts lying around and dangerous enough with a welder to fab stuff... Just figured I'd ask the question here first. Thoughts?

It would be basically an LS swap, and converting from a 700R4 to a 4L65E. While the tranny is slightly better, it's still the same basic platform. If you were going through the hassle of a trans swap, I'd grab a 4L80 and be done with it.

You still use your Sy/Ty transfer case, but you'll need adapters to get it to mate to the 4L80E. Lots of info on here if you do a little searching.
