You are going to hear it, so here you are.:worthless:

Anyhow welcome to the site. How does it run? Auto or manual?

Another tip for you. When reading a post where someone has added pics, datafiles, HTML links, ect....just use the "quote" button, as if you were going to reply, and it'll show you all the text/code the person used for the feature they wanted. Then you'll have an idea of how to add your own stuff.

i'm curious why everyone thinks a turbo 4.3 should be swapped into everything?

Same reason the buick guys think a 3.8 should be in everything.

Not sure what that reason is but there may be one :D

One reason why I got out of W bodies...I was sick of the L67...Also sick of the LQ1.

Anyhow, welcome man! A Sy/TY powered Firebird sounds HOT.

sounds like a case of "i had it, so i used it."

It makes sense to me, like Mike said if you have it and your car was already a small block. Then it would be pretty much a bolt-in with less weight and alot more power then a stock Firebird had . It should run really well, I just don't think that I would use a 4.10 gear like he did unless I had a tall tire. I would have went with one of these instead.

1. GU4 Axle, Rear 3.08 Ratio OR 2. GU5 Axle, Rear 3.23 Ratio

Re: just wanted to introduce my whip

So why did you pull the motor from a limited production vehicle and drop it in a Firebird?

I'd rather use a 3.8 then a 4.3. Over all stronger and we know they can make more power when built the same.

its true, i had it so i used it, lol, and i took it out because the truck was wrecked when i picked it up, and the 4.10 is in it from when i ran it with my 350. also its hard to just use any rear end in 3rd and 4th gen birds because they have a stupid (yet effective) torque arm that mounts to the differential. it takes some customizing to eliminate it.

That why I listed these rear ends. 1. GU4 Axle, Rear 3.08 Ratio OR 2. GU5 Axle, Rear 3.23 Ratio because they are for a 3rd and 4th gen birds .
