Hi guys, I finally have a minute to post and introduce myself. I'm Tom Z from Johnny Lightning, the guy responsible for the JL diecast Typhoon releases. Not really a newbie to this forum as I owned a Ty about 10 years ago and was a member and used that truck to build the JL replica off of. I sold that truck and do own a new Ty that I hope to debut at Lightning Fest. Wanted to give you guys a first look at the new Ty coming out next month. http://jllightning.blogspot.com/
Join JL on Facebook and become part of our collector community. I would like your input on future Typhoon and Syclone releases as well. http://www.facebook.com/johnnylightningcars

Welcome!!!.....Im a huge fan of jl's!!

I have every jl ty and sy in my collection and look forward to every new one that comes out.

I do have a few questions about some rogue ones i have found and if they are intentionally put out there?

Re: Johnny Lightning

Thanks Tom for introducing the diecast Typhoon. I had looked for Typhoon models for years before realizing they didn't exist and then last year Johnny Lightning stepped up and delivered.

If JL ever decided to produce a larger 1/18 or 1/24 scale Typhoon or Syclone I would definitely buy one.

The Garnet Typhoon looks nice

Thanks again!!

Re: Johnny Lightning

BTW, that garnet looks awesome!

Curious also if it was possible to do custom colored jl trucks? All of my personal trucks are uniquely painted and it would be awesome to have one in the same color scheme as the ones i own.

Welcome to the forums.

You'll find that no matter the variation, as long as you are producing JL SyTys... the poor saps here will keep buying them. :rotf: :rotf:

Geez, another one I HAVE to buy:rant: I keep buying the same matchbox car over and over and over again just because you keep changing the color.

Keep up the good work:tup:

Thanks for all your work. Larger scaled models would be huge hit with the people on this board.

I was thinking about this the other day. There are a few places that can and do custom make models for people. I was going to contact a few but the price I was imagining they would charge deterred me thus far. Some 1/18 scale would be sweet....and sell like crazy too.

Re: Johnny Lightning

Hi Tom,

Since your "main" Typhoon customers are all here, maybe creating a poll (after the red/red is produced) to determine your next color would be in order?

I mean, we're gonna buy them all...don't get me wrong. But you could poll the group to see what would be the most popular/desirable "next" color would be. You know, like Green/Grey ;).

Thanks again,
SS
