glad to hear you are ok, mytruck did not run over me but it did slip into reverse and i had to chase it down. i was about 30 feet away when i looked back and saw it rolling off. it is harder i think to jump into a truck going in reverse than going foward. didnt hit anything though.

If you did leave it in gear, I feel your embarrassment. Had this happen to me in the dragster at the track a couple months back. Forgot to hook up the neutral switch. You have to put the car in gear in order to hook up the aldl cord for the datalogger. Forgot to put it back in park. Went to start it without getting in the car. It took off, ran over my dad, luckily I caught up with it and hit the ignition kill switch before it hit any other cars. Quite embarrassing as everybody around us was watching us. Neutral switch was hooked up the next day.

I kinda had the same problem only thing is truck wouldnt crank cause it was in gear didnt realize it was in gear until I aired up the truck and it started to roll backwards(it lays on the frame!)

I did this w/ the primer ty. it was rolling towards my sti. I got in pretty quickly and stopped it though....only rolled about 10 feet down my driveway. :lol:

This sounds funny just picturing this but, I just checked a fatal accident a local pd did on a guy leaving his truck in reverse. He tried to stop it and ended up getting pinned under the driver's side front tire. Died of his injuries about 10 days later. Glad you are OK and the Ty only had some minor damage to the front bumper cover.

Now picturing renz running after is ty ...with a mohawk that is funny especially with the expression that was probably on his face and words coming out of his mouth!!!:lol:

the car it bumped was one of the guys I work with I told him and he asked can I still drive it home? I told him yes he like ok I dont care then

OK, now that my hubby just came home from work and I saw the damage in person (to him, I haven't seen my truck yet) I now am very grateful (even more than before) that he is ok. His arm is cut up real bad (I have to get bandages and cover it before it gets infected). His ankle is swollen (eventhough he said it's not). His back has burns on it. He's limping (because his knee hurts so bad - and it's swollen too - eventhough he said it isn't). He's all banged up.

That's it...the truck's for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gotta stop doing things like that, we have lost one to having a truck on top already this year, be safe, the vehicle doesnt care if you get run over, your the driver

OK...I just bandaged him up. All he keeps saying to me is "I'm hungry." He also said that he won't be sore tomorrow...yeah, right. I can't leave him alone to do anything without getting hurt (or getting in trouble).

When you jumped the connections, it bypasses all the safety systems in place. The reason it wouldn't crank is because it was in gear. Look at your cable linkage bracket and see if it's bent.
The starter turns the flywheel that is connected to that damn transmission. forward clutches engaged, runs you over.....

It didnt run me over I was out of the way, it drageed me when i tried to sop it by grapping the fender, then when i tried to use my foot as a wheel chuck it ran my leg over Yep it was a dumb ass move

Okay so yeah that was retarded,but so was my day.

Oldest daughter calls me.Car won't start.Tried to jump it.My battery cable is broken.

Drive over there,her cable end was fubar.Put on a new one tried to start it and NOTHING.

I'm thinking crap new starter maybe it is bad. Go to the Ty and get a tire iron to smack the starter.

As I'm walking back towards her car,I notice the reverse lights are on.


So i slap it up into park,fire it up and tell her "It will never start if it's not in PARK. :roll:
