depends on if the transfer case adapter is for a 6 bolt transfer case or a 5 bolt. most of these kits are for a 6 bolt transfer case. the ty or sy has a 5 bolt.

good observation, although bad. I am more concerned about the shaft at this point. I am going to give them a ring tomorrow

after much research and discussion with several people on here I believe 2 things now.

1- All syty trans cases are 27 spline input shaft
2. This is the correct adapter for adapting a th400 to a transfercase.

seems to have the correct adapter, and output shaft.

this is a good thing, as it is $100 cheaper than what I thought it was. Although if you run a TH350 its another $200 cheaper yet... between this and the speedway motors adapter it seems very cost effective to run a th400...Mine is being built right now to withstand 1100 hp and is having a manual valve body installed at the grand total of $725...from a professional shop...if you call rossler they can build you one for $1300, which concidering the perfection they off isn't a bad deal either.
